This is the second time I tasted Buah Jentik (aka Baccaurea Polyneura ... ahem, u can just ignore the taugeh scientific name as this won't come out in exam. LOL) . My colleague introduced me to this fruit half a year or one year back. The orange-coloured fruits are small in size ~ 1.5 cm in width and 2.0 cm in length.
Buah jentik has hard and brittle skin. If you snap or flick (jentik) the fruit with fingers, the skin or the shell can be opened easily, hence the name Buah Jentik (or Buah jentik-jentik?).
The dark-orange shiny flesh is sourish in taste with tinge of sweetness. And you can even swallow the seed if you lazy to spit it out !! (Hopefully the seed won't grow and fluorish inside your tummy then, as in the midwife's tales). Kkkkkkk....

Wishing you many, many, many, many happy returns, my dear Pink Cotton, with lotsa hugs and muacks and kisses !! Hope you have a wonderful birthday and so many more to come. And... don't forget to save me a piece of birthday cake ;)
Nowadays, susah nak cari makan.. Even cows are affected. The hungry and desperate Moo Moos have to search for their own food.
Nowadays the cows manyak pandai. Since they couldn't manage to find the fresh juicy grass in the field, they went to do marketing in the wet market instead.

This is not the "normal" chempedak, but the Gigantic Chempedak. As you can see from the photo, The pulp is huge, and it's gigantic. It has a thinner layer of husk with less sap (yeah!) . And of coz, it's much more expensive.
The fresh is thick, sweet, juicy and creamy with small seed, (in comparison with the normal chempedak). First Class ichiban mouth watering good stuff. I feel like taking a bite again... Lao Hao Sui... *Heavenly*
Space Invaders - A simple game with simple graphic which we crazed during our childhood/teenage time. One key feature of Space Invaders was that as more and more aliens were shot, the remaining aliens will move faster and faster. And one interesting fact is, some of the aliens resemble Sotong (aka Octopus). LOL
Normally we use the plastic raffia string to tie up things especially plastic bags or boxes. However, I found out another usage for raffia string while seeing a patient in the clinic few weeks back. When I examined my patient, I noticed she used the plastic raffia string instead of belt to tighten her shorts. Yeah, she is one of those from the lower socioeconomic group. I guess she couldn't afford to buy a proper belt and I'm indeed amazed with her idea of using plastic raffia string in replacement of belt. I have seen several poor patients using pieces of clothes as belt but using plastic raffia string? This was the first time...
Reminiscing all the sampat and priceless wonderful moments we had that day, including the camwhoring... especially inside the Hakka Restaurant. Hahhahahha.... *Ahem*... And not forgetting, that night someone enjoyed the company so much till she missed the bus back home to Singapore leh :P
What happened if one has too much of Tropical Fruits? It's time to indulge in something different... namely Donut Peaches, Red Cherries and Nectarines - the Temperate Fruits.
This was my first encounter with the flat Donut Peach/Doughnut Peach. Am I suaku? At least I know I'm not the only one since Maymay is also in the same boat. Please tell me there are more "suaku" out there who dunno the existence of Donut Peach... LOL. I lup the donut peach with sweet and juicy white flesh ~ I'm lovin' it...
Fresh Red Cherry. It tasted different from the sweet preserved cherries which are loaded with sugars. Instead of
Nectarines. Mmmm... nothing special. I want my durian !!! Hahhahhaa...
