Coconut Trees (Balik Pulau)

These snapshots were taken during in Balik Pulau end of March.

Peaceful and quiet village. The road is empty and not many vehicles moving around, in comparison with the busy roads in cities. I like to see the scenes of coconut trees along the village road.

The tall coconut trees sway in the village. Coconut trees are seen everywhere along the road.

Coconut trees again . Coconut trees are symbolic trees of tropical countries..

View taken from the car. Don't worry, I'm not driving. I'm not like unker , who can drive and snap photos at the same time :D

Coconuts.. My favourite drink. By the way, this picture was taken somewhere else - in Botanical Garden. The coconut drinks here are more expensive than other places cos Botanical Garden is one of the tourist spots. It is refreshing to drink young coconut drinks in hot weather. Slurp !!

Really nice view, so clean.. so peaceful.. I'm wondering, do the monkeys or people who climb up the tree and pluck the coconouts?

selba,
very quiet and peaceful kampung life :) I have no idea who did the coconut plucking in this village :)

In certain areas elsewhere, they pluck the coconut manually, I mean climbing up the tree.. whilst in other places, they have monkeys to do the job :)

I heard there's a restau called End of the World in Penang. Seafood, I think. See whether you can snap some pics next time. I hv always wondered what it looks like. Maybe closed down already.

Daniel,
I had seafood there (End of the World) several years back (fresh shrimps, fresh crabs, fresh fish.. delicious). The restaurant was located at the end of the winding route next to the fishing jetty. I heard that the restaurant was closed down few years back...

I love Coconut drink, our natural isotonic drink :)

the ones in SG usually isn't that tasty, it's more expensive too. so i tend to choose canned ones without any sugar added.

Chen said...

slurp,
we don't have many canned coconut drinks here.. I guess.. who needs canned coconut drinks when there are so many fresh coconut drinks available round the corner in Malaysia?

I only see one brand (from Thailand) so far.. but with added sugar.. (I guess I didn't really go & look or search for the canned coconut drinks)
