"iPhone without the Phone"

The properly "clothed" iPod Touch...

I was busy playing with my iPod Touch yesterday night.. and suddenly Angeles came up with this one million dollar question...

Angeles : So the iPod Touch is the iPhone without the phone? means it's only the "i"?
Me : err.. and minus the camera too :P

Hahahaha, I really chuckle when Angeles said that.. Only my dear beloved sampat Angeles can come up with such fabulous ocipala and funny idea. How can i not lup her? And not forgetting we have several GMTA moments too :)

The naked iPod Touch (without "baju" loh) :P

And not forgetting to surf online using the built in WiFi. But not that easy leh to "type" on the iPod Touch touchscreen using my index finger...

Addendum : And to those blur sotong out there, GMTA = Great Minds Think Alike.

Chickpea Mouse

Met up with Fibrate yesterday night and after our Longkang Laksa date, we went to New World Park for second round. We came across some creative handmade handicrafts and souvenirs. What caught our attention is the Chickpea Mouse or Kacang Putih Mouse. How not to fall in love with such chu bee stuff? Even the mini egg is cute too, with soy bean as egg and the green bean as egg yolk.

Nice catching up with you Fibrate, and thanks for this wonderful tikus gift :)

My "Dream" Gadget(s)

Albie wanna know what is/are my dream gadget(s). Mmm.... I would say the next gadget I wanna get is the zoom lens for my DSLR Canon EOS 350D ~ The Sigma 18- 200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC with OS (Optical Stabiliser) lens. Something that I wanna get but haven't do so yet :P

Sigma 18- 200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC with OS lens

At the moment, I only have 2 lenses ~ The Canon EFS 18-55 mm kit lens and the Tamron AF SP 90mm f/2.8 macro lens. Hence I need a zoom lens to complete the lenses list (temporary). And yeah, photography is definitely an expensive hobby... I will need to get a speedlite also (in the future lah). Cos now pocket dah koyak and berlubang already. :P

Angeles and Fibrate, since I wanna know what is/are your dream gadget(s). Hence, both of you are tagged :D

Asus Eee PC

Since kyh and Butt wanna have a glimpse at my new toy, and Angeles wanna see the size of my UMPC Asus Eee PC in comparison with my 13.3 inch MacBook, I will comply. Here are the pictures.

My beloved Galaxy Black Asus Eee PC 701. I prefer black-coloured gadget, hence i choose the galaxy black instead of the pearly white colour. (My point-n-shoot camera, prosumer camera and DSLR camera and my pda, Palm Tx are all black in colour) .

So small and light, weighing less than 1 kg, hence portable. Half the size of my MacBook. Yeah, SIZE DOES MATTER !!

And it comes pre-installed with all the necessary software and application (such as Firefox browser, email, word and office documents, power point presentations, photo, movies, instant messaging, skype, sticky notes, dictionary, paint, games etc), with built in webcam, microphone and voice recorder, built in SD/MMC card reader, WiFi and ethernet and 3 USB hub, running on Linux Xandros OS. And, it's affordable, and you can get it at RM 1,299. Although the SSD capacity is only 4 Gb, but that is not a major problem. I can always use a pen drive, external HDD or SDHC card.

Hence, I love my Eee PC ;)

My Solar Toy

I first get to know this cute Japanese toy big round head Nohohon fella from Ben Ben in 2006. Since the 大头仔 are so cute, I can't help but to get myself one. Shouldn't let the cute stuff sitting there collecting dust waiting till the cows come home in the shop mah.

Introducing my Pinkie Nodding Head NoHoHon. These cutie fellas are powered by the solar energy.

Then I increased my collection again few months ago. My latest addition was The Orange Dancing NoHoHon ~ shaking head and io ka ch'ng all day long. (Too much ecstasy?) Kkkkkkkkkk....

I place them on top of my CPU. Syiok wah seeing them nodding and swaying head, dancing and io-ing ka chng (shaking butt). Thinking to get my 3rd one soon. I still prefer the original simple NoHoHon character in comparison with the newer addition in the market (such as those flip flop leaves, frog, dog, monkey, mickey mouse, piggy, hello kitty, mushroom/tungku, piggy, cow etc etc etc) :P

Io Io Io and 摇摇摇... I love my NoHoHon Solar Pets Toys :)

Rodents in My Room

Angel posted about Mice Tales, so being Copy Cat "Garfield", I wanna post about those Rodents in my rooms too. Not one, not two, but plenty rats mouse-s (or are they mice?) But my poor mouse-s are malnourished, hence the small size. Unlike those well-nourished mouse in the early days, which are fat and juicy. LOL

Some of my lovely Tetikus (which are Alive and Well). I have too made rodents in the house, and poor Angel is also infected with the "Mouse Bugs" after our sampat mouse-talk that night. And yet she asked me why I bought so many mouse-s that night. LOL

My mini white Mouse eating accompanying the white MacBook Apple. Both are white-white tei. I love small stuff, hence I prefer using the mini mouse (instead of the gigantic Apple Mouse) :P

Game & Watch : Octopus

Those from my era will know The Game and Watch Octopus handheld electronic game ~ one of the popular games in the mid 80's. This is the one and only handheld video game I had during my childhood primary/secondary school days. The Nintendo games during those days are simple black and white games with simple 2D graphic, such as the Octopus game. As u can see from the photo below, there are only left and right buttons for the game (Besides the Game A, Game B and Time buttons) :P
Well, there are no Game Boy, Brick Games/Tetris nor Play Station in the early days. Later on in life, as time goes, those fortunate ones will get to play the Micro Genius or the Atari video arcade games (using those cassette like cartridge). Reminiscing the Donkey Kong, Parachute, Popeye, Space Invaders, Wild Gun Man, Super Mario Bro, Pac Man, Lode Runner, Balloon Fight etc. Mmmm, I had never played Street Fighter in the past.

I can relive my childhood once again by playing this simple Sotong Octopus game on my PDA, but the thrill is no longer there. And it is no longer as addictive as it was in the past...

The best thing is I can pinch and squeeze them, and they won't BITE !!

The Mr Cheeky with the 101% Kuwak cunning look. Don't mess with him, unless if u want to see Flying Peanuts.

The Mr Angry who tengah fatt man chan cos kenak Throw YourStar (those squeak squeak stars) by Ah Boy for no apparent reason. Ggggrrrrrrrrrr

Leopard

LB and May have Leopard(s). And yet, I'm still happily playing with my Tiger dearie.

However, since they have Leopard, how can I be exempted? I must join the bandwagon too. *Kiasu*. Hence I adopted a White Leopard. Introducing The Manhattan Barooty, Lewis the Leopard. Everyone, say Hi to Lewis :)
I have adopted him since March 2007, even prior to the Apple Leopard era. Kkkkk. Cute leh my Lewis? This friendly Leopard is more than a soft toy, it also acts as a screen cleaner. By rubbing it's soft tummy across the MacBook screen, it helps to keep my MacBook squeaky clean. And fret not, this Leopard is very gentle and he doesn't bite. *pet Lewis' head*

ps: Maymay, hope your Mackie gets well soon and has a speedy recovery. Hopefully he will be discharged from ICU soon.

pss : Papercrazy, that X has nothing to do with X-rated movies nor stuff, okie? :P

psss : To those blur sotong out there who still catch no balls, Leopard is the latest version of MAC OS X 10.5 operating system. Tiger is the earlier version of MAC OS X 10.4 operating system. And prior to Tiger is Panther, Jaguar and Puma.

NIKON lens

There are several instances that my faithful Nikon Microfiber Lens Cleaning Cloth is being mistaken as the cleaning cloth for my camera lens instead for my spectacle glasses.

That Nikon microfiber cleaning cloth is indeed for my Nikon spectacles lens leh. I don't have a Nikon camera. And the geniuses here know I'm using the Konica Minolta digital camera and Canon digital camera. Gua tarak pakai Nikon camera lah.

Remembering the night I kena sabo kaw kaw and the not forgetting all the ocipala hoo-hah @ Topspot Foodcourt, Kuching. *SWEAT*. Luckily I didn't piak them with sotong that night (as we were eating sotong at the same time). This Papercrazy is good at pulling my leg. Hahahaha...

I dun bluff nor ti(p)u wan. Good student don't ti(p)u, and good ex-student (yours truly) don't ti(p)u either. I have proof wan. See? I really use the Nikon lite AS 400 lenses for my spectacles. Nikon not only produce lens for camera but also for spectacles leh.. Kkkkkkkk...

This is NOT a sponsored post...

Mono-the- Poly

What is the easiest way to become rich? By playing Monopoly (百万富翁). If not, another easier way is to change all your $$$ to Indonesia currency Rupiah. ;)

Enough of craps, Monopoly is one of the board games I used to play in the early days. Simple but addictive. Nowadays I can play it anytime and anywhere, on my pda with my constant opponents "Fox and Malcolm". Scottie Dog is my favourite token, followed by Battleship.

Reminiscing the moment playing a kan cheong heart pounding game of Monopoly a year back at Padang Kota Damansara Mamak store. Ah May, Ah Angel and Ah Albie, when can we have another round of Monopoly game?
Go to Jail?? Really See Ghost liao
Do not Pass Go. Do not collect 200. Nah...... Ti(p)u.

And somehow this reminds me back of the forgotten "censored" flying peanut scene again. Time really flies...

Garfield

Garfield is one of my favourite cartoon character during my school days. Garfield is like "a Human in Cat Suit". This fat cat has so many similarities with human. His thought resembles human's thinking. Not forgetting his selfish behaviour, his greediness etc etc.. Garfield says and does things that people would like to say and do. Garfield also struggles with human problems - obesity, dieting, loathing of Mondays, apathy, boredom etc. Wonder if Garfield ever melayang-layang anot?

My collection of Garfield cushions (>10 years).

I can still remember some of the Garfield's favourite quotes.. (cos they are hilarious)
  • Diet is 'die' with a 't'.
  • I'm not over-weight, I'm under-tall.
  • If u want to look thinner, hang around people fatter than u.
Behind the scene :
Garfield - the fat, lazy, overweight, cynical but lovable orange-coloured cat who likes eating, sleeping and watching tv. He loves lasagna and hates Monday. (good to hug cos so fleshy)
Odie - the dumb-dumb, stupid and naive dog (unlike the clever ah boy or liucas)
Jon
- Garfield and Odie's suku, pathetic kolian owner
Pooky
- Garfield's teddy bear (dun play-play)
Arlene - Garfield's sweetheart (with long-long neck like giraffe; mutant feline ah?)
Nermal - Garfield's cousin (the perasan meow meow who thinks he is the world cutest cat) .

This famous comic character, Garfield was created by Jim Davis. Garfield was named after Jim's grandfather, James Garfield Davis. The first Garfield comic strip was debuted on 19 June 1978.

Stethoscope Snap On Rim

This is what I get on my first day in KL, The Littmann Stethoscope Snap on Rim. There are few who asked me what the heck what issit? Mmm... basically it is just a piece of expensive rubber/plastic to hold the diaphragm in place (to the chestpiece of the stethoscope). I bought it at 8:30 am on Thursday morning. Fifteen minutes after I bought the rim, I got a phone call from ayam panggang Will reminding me to buy the stuff. The next day, I get another last minute reminder from Pink Cotton via sms "Don forget to buy.. erm.. buy the.. dono wat thingy, ok?" Hahaha, cute lah her :D

A piece of rubber like this costs me RM25... I have changed the rim twice since it is "fragile".

My good old Littmann Stethoscope (still as good as new), which has accompanied me faithfully since 1994 - with the new Snap on Rim but old Diaphragm, old Chestpiece, old Binaurals and old Ear tips.

Sot Sot Sotong

My collection of Sotong/Octopus :)

Cute boh the Sotong? These are Sarawak Sotong. I received these 3 cute little things yesterday night, flying all the way from Sarawak, the Land of Hornbills. Muacks and thanks, Pink Cotton for the adorable Christmas gift :D Hehehe.. there is a pink sotong too in the gang :D

This is Kiasuland Singapore Sotong by Carcar.

This is PJ Sotong by Maymay.

This is the supposedly fridge magnet sotong but many mistakenly thought those were edible "dim sum" :P

Sotong Greeting Cards for Sotong gals.

Collection of Sotongs from various artists - namely Ah May, Ah Ben, Ah Bie and Ah Ben's twin :D

My B&W Sotong sketches in the early days (The era prior to invention of oil pastel, colour pencil, magic pen or water colour.. ) :P

The Sotong became more lively & colourful after a kind Angel (with pink coloured hidden wings) sent me one box of colour pencils & magic pen :)
