One after Another..
Lately I have seen one elderly patient (in her mid 70's) being diagnosed to have 3 different cancer/carcinoma at different stages of her life. Earlier on, she was diagnosed to have Cervical Carcinoma (cancer of cervix) and was treated with radiotherapy. Few years later she has another different cancer - Carcinoma of the right breast (breast cancer); Mastectomy with axillary clearance was performed followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Then she gets another different cancer years later - Colorectal Carcinoma (cancer of the colon); Anterior Resection was performed. Now she comes back with suspected recurrence. What a mishap. This "poor" lady is so unlucky. Being diagnosed with one cancer is already depressing and heart breaking for many. More over she gets one cancer after another. I have seen many suffering from two different cancer but this is the first time I see one with 3 different cancer. Mmmm... Is she suffering from Familial Cancer Syndrome? However, this lady has positive thinking with very strong will. She still looks fit and energetic and looks much younger than her real age.

*joins angel on the curbside, swinging handbags, not knowing anything appropriate to say either, but feel that we are lucky... despite Monday Blues, and Tuesday Unrelentingness, and Wednesday biatches, and Thursday Remorsefulness, and Friday No Fly Zoneness, and Saturda... wait, Weekends are ok*
omg!
all the 3 worst cancer i could ever imagine 'x'
That's life, I suppose...So unpredictable
what's her latest stage of cancer?
wow, really poor lady...so old already and yet the obstacle getting worse...I wonder what insurance she is under...cos as far as I'm concerned, cancer normally falls under SI (Specific Illness) or maybe PE (Pre-Existing) conditions...kinda hard to claim wan...*sighs*
porpor, get well soon ah..
can't do much, pray on her behalf.
there is one after another suicide case in sgp...jump into the MRT track...
My heart goes out to her..for some people, it doesn't just rain but it pours!
when obstacle happens in life, we can choose to resign to fate with frustration.. or we can choose to take a positive attitude.
I am sure for this lady, every day is a gift... and we should all learn from her.
Oh my goodness! My deepest sympathy goes to this old lady. I am amazed that she can still stay strong.
My best wishes to her!
kenny,
Aiyak, suicide is not the solution to problems lah..
don't ever think of that :P
She is indeed strong...
may,
I’m amazed at her strong will too.
It is indeed heart breaking to see how people suffered… She is one of the retired nurse (not from my hospital) and she looks 10+ years younger than her real age. She is a cheerful person too :)
misti,
We will do what we can for her, and leave the ultimate control to God the Almighty.
ah nel,
at least u understand the meaning of cancer.. Hope she able to fight this battle :)
KW,
It is heartbreaking to see how all these people suffered and fight for their lives, and yet there are youngsters who waste their precious lives out there, risking their lives in all those dangerous activities and stunts..
SA,
Some people are indeed unlucky.
And we don't know what might happen to us in the future too..
Treasure and enjoy life while we can :)
angel,
*remain in silence*
LB,
wai wai wai...
LB ah LB, sounds like u cakap keluar tajuk liao leh. But after see see look look your comment again, u r still in the topic.. tak terpesong..
pinkcotton,
Somehow, life is unfair hoh? :(
and so unpredictable...
Some people suffered so much..
papercrazy,
I will get back to u once I get her latest investigation results. She is considered a "winner" already, after succeed in fighting so many battles..
monkticon,
I dunno whether she buys insurance or not.. And even if so, it is hard to claim for insurance in this sort of cases.. :( You know the best, since u r working in this field..
sengkor,
Will sengkor cook porridge or soup for this poor poh poh?
padi friends,
Yeah, the ultimate control is in God's almighty hand...
carcar,
hah? jump into MRT track?
this people really has NBTD..
choose such a tragic way to die :(
just me,
One good thing is she has good famiy support. Supportive family members (emotionally, physically and financially) play an important role in patients suffering from cancer.
robin,
Yeah, despite all these sufferings that she has to undergo, she is still optimistic. Never give up. A lady with very strong will..
day dreamer,
Hope she will continue to fight the battle and succeed.
good to have positive thinking.. hope she stays strong and fight on.. :)
i wish all the strength to pull through this tough stretch.
guess her positive thinking make her survive until the 3rd cancer is discovered.
but that is cruel!
She is a very strong person and I believe that her hopes are always there and she always believe with faith.
She is one that I would say is one in a million.
She's a real fighter, and I believe that it's ppl like her that make the medical team really work to save her.
When there is will, there is life...
I wonder whether any of her immediate family members are affected as well. This may be one of the hereditary cancer syndromes.
butt,
berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu yang memikul...
Hope she will continue to fight the battle...
nyonya pg,
yeah.. besides strong will, she needs prayer & support from family and friends too..
red sponge,
yeah loh.. so sad hoh?
zeroimpact,
She really deserves to earn our respects :)
cocka,
we will save everyone without discrimination but she really earn my respect. She should become the role model for other cancer patients.
jo,
A willing heart & a willing mind is important to fight the battle.. but this is easier to be said than to be done. Some people give up half way cos they can't cope and tolerate with the disease or the side effect of the treatment :(
bernard,
She is follow-up under the surgical team in another hospital in the northern region. She was referred here for scanning. I dunno whether her other family members are affected or not.
If I were her, I rather die. Heck, she must be rich or else how to afford $$$.
hijackqueen,
She is not rich.
She is a retired gov staff nurse..
