Yeah, this is the Cannon Ball Fruit. Photo taken from the Cannon Ball Fruit tree in Penang Botanical Garden. Those who are interested to know more or see more photos about the fruit or the tree, can read my previous post on Cannon Ball Tree.

looks like buah pala to me ... but it also resembles the canonball fruit that you find in some tropical climates ...

Looks like tampoi of Sarawak...but then the vines make a difference...so cannot be tampoi.

hehe, those who stay in Penang or those who visited Penang Botanical Garden will know the answer. Ya, this is the cannonball fruit taken in Penang Botanical Garden. :)

Misti, if the bird eats this, it's peak will become disfigured lei, cos this cannonball fruit is rocky hard. I don't think the fruit can be eaten though..
