“Food”

I have the priviledges to try out made different types of meat actually.. Besides those normal meat stuff (chicken, pork, rabbit, duck, fish etc etc..) , I have tried… mmm… let me think first ... Snakes, crocodiles, frog, dog, flying fox, sea turtle, tortoise, pangolin, white mouse, donkey, camel, ostrich, worms.. (i tried the silk worm loh in Beijing last time.. as well as the Sarawak sago worms..)What else? There's more, but i can't think of it at the moment..

but I will definitely not try the cockroaches or scorpions or grasshopper. disgusting.. Sounds gross to me loh.. i won't dare to eat these food stuffs... See lots of these foodstuffs in Beijing & Bangkok.. looks disgusting loh..

Regarding the white mouse, the taste is similar to chicken.. The white mouse, were the “left over” one after my form 6.. I rear my own white mouses last time for the purpose of dissection for our Biology practical sessions in Form 6. Last time dissect mouse, frog & cockroaches.. then later on in lives, dissect corpses during anatomy classes, and now progress to “cutting” real alive human (hahaha …I mean doing doing operation or performing surgical procedures..) or perform autopsy or postmortem on dead bodies…

Oh ya… one yucky experience… I drank a glass of water full with black ants previously. That was during my secondary school time. Damn disgusting... I didn't notice it initially cos of drinking in the dark, without the light on. That time, i went to the kitchen late at night & lazy to on the light.. just poured the water into the glass & drank, then I felt something funny in my mouth and my throat.. When i on the light.. i nearly pengsan loh.. the glass of plain water is full with ants... thinking about it, made me want to vomit niah.. hahhaha… ----> very traumatised with this yucky experience leh. Really feel like vomiting at that moment…

Vomiting Durian...

Durian nowadays is no longer seasonal fruit already.. cos can see durian in the market every few months.. Even nowadays, i can still see durian in the market. Occasionally, seeing those durian will reminds me of something... This event occur 5 years back, in year 2000..

That night, i had a 17 years old malay boy who met with an accident around 4:30 pm in the evening, and half an hour before the accident, he took durian.. ( as i normally will ask the patient when is their last meal and what they took at that time, normally we will only call the case 6 hours after their last meal, since stomach emptying time will take around 6 hours , it's important to prevent aspiration of gastric contents into the lungs which might be a disaster...). The boy suffered compound, comminuted fracture of the femur. I called the case at 10 pm... (6 hours after his last meal). I intubate the patient with cricoid pressure and put the patient under general anaesthesia.

The operation itself took approximately 4 hours and finished around 2 am in the early morning... i reversed the patient from all the anaesthetic drugs and gases that was given to him earlier on... on then... came the 'disaster'... the patient vomited out a large amount of half digested durian (almost one bowl).... and stinks the whole operation theatre... my assistance nurse couldn't stand the 'scene' and she herself went to the sink behind and vomitted out few times... leaving poor me behind cleaning up the mess... sucking the remaining durian debris from the mouth, wiping and cleaning his face... i have to ensure that there's no mores residual vomitus inside the mouth and he is fully conscious before i extubate the endotracheal tube from him.... (Normally stomach emptying time will takes around 4 to 6 hours but the process may be impaired by certain factors, such as major trauma events like accidents which might cause gastric stasis.... which was well proven in this case, as the food particles still stay intact in the stomach even though 10 hours had passed....)

Luckily there's no more emergency cases after that, or else it's really torturing to stay in the "contaminated" operation theatre.. The partially digested durian really stinks.. and the smell remains there inside the fully air conditioned operation theatre for quite some time :(

Actually, i have encountered several episodes of vomiting patients just before they wake up from anaesthesia on the operation table...

in fact, i did encounter with few more disgusting episodes whereby the patients vomit on my clothes when i reverse them from the anaesthetic drugs and volatile agents as i am standing beside their head, sucking the salive from their mouth, and .... if that is not your day, then i'll get all those greenish/yellowish vomitus vomiting out ... and the worse thing is that you cannot go out to clean yourself or change your cloth immediately but have to attend to the patient first, or else they might aspirate their own vomitus or fell down from the operation table... (some will struggle in the merge of waking up), if unlucky, will even hit by them if unaware or not careful... what a job!!!!

Kai Mui & Doggy

Just met my "kai mui" just now...
and show her my little doggy as well..
She has a dog as well, same species & same colour some more.
Surprisingly, my little doggy didnt bark at her, although this is the first time my dog meet her.. (might be i'm around, that's why.. ) and he's damn manja with her... My dog likes people to pay attention to him & rub rub his head or massage his neck..

work work work..

Just thinking how nice is it if i can take long leaves now.. Really feel very tired of working, especially working long hours... need to take a break, but too bad, my department is now very short of staffs... have to endure for another few weeks...

baby?

aiks.... I don't understand... why everyone likes to ask this question on & off none stop? Damn irritating & annoying. Is it that a family really won't be complete without a baby/babies? Well, my hubby and i just prefer not to have kids at the moment.. That is it... :)

Dr Evil & Dr Cheat ?

Recently i get to know two devil friends.. Dr Evil is the name he gives to himself, (guess he must be damn evil to use this name for himself) and another one, Dr Evil calls him as Dr Cheat.. (guess he cheats too many people kua? hahaha.. no lah.. but Dr Evil claims that Dr Cheat always cheat him in games.. that's all). These two guys are just two big kids... Sometimes, really "no eyes see" what they are doing, especially Dr Evil.

Long lost childhood friend....

Last Chinese New Year (2005) is really a memorable one.. This is the first time i spent CNY in Kuching.. cos my family just shifted to Kuching end of last year, and, the interesting thing is .... i manage to meet back one of my really long lost friend, someone whom i never expect to meet back again.. Well.. we are good friends during kids time and after kindergarten, his family migrated to another town, and since then, we lost contact.. Since we finish kindergarden till the day we met back again last CNY. It's been 25 years already... How amazing.. Something really unexpected... hahaha... It's long story how we manage to contact back & meet up.... Haha.. really unbelievable.. I still have the photos taken together during kids time.. It's fun looking back at those photos...

I really can't remember or can't recall back what we did & what we talked about when we are kids previously.. Well, but i did remember going to his house quite frequently as he stayed few units away from my house previously, on the same road. Now his parent's house is nearby my sister's house in Kuching as well.. :)

My poor doggie....

My poor little doggie not feeling well on Saturday night.. I think most likely he eats too much hot & spicy food loh in my in laws place.. hahah... He is just too "greedy" lah.. everything also want to eat..

Come back home, my little doggie quickly runs to his water container and finish drink almost all the water inside the container... He must be feeling damn "hot" & thirsty, cos the food is quite spicy.. Poor dog.. And that night, he is "not so active".. He went to bed quite early and didnt move around much. ( Dunnolah... might be, he had stomach ache or discomfort). Well, yesterday morning, he's "fully recovered" already... Able to jump and run around actively like before...

What a cute dog... hahaha...

Saturday...

Last Saturday, after work, i met up with a forum friend, Darren, from Selayang .. Didnt realise time passed by so fast.. We met in Coffee Bean next to Gurney Hotel and without realising, we chit chat for almost 2 hours already.. And half way chatting with him, my little "kai mui" passed by to say hello :D

Finally, i'm here......

Thinking of starting this long time ago already, but don't have time... and lazy as well lah...
too many commitments..
