Wanna Prosperous?

Tengok Prosperity Burger means CNY is just around the corner. Time really flies, in 2 weeks plus time, it's Gong Xi Gong Xi time liao.. Why is it called Prosperity Burger or Prosperity Meal? Cos the price is fabulous.. McD become prosperous (in term of $$) and the consumer become prosperous in term of size (& weight), cos high calories mah :P

I crap with Ah Ben a week or two ago on Prosperity Burger..

Chen: Kuching this year got beef prosperity burger?
Chen: last year only chicken prosperity burger
Ben: NO! Ben: ki si lang. This yr also only chicken
Chen: chicken not so nice wan. Beef much nicer.
Chen: why tarak beef in swak?
Ben: buddhist a lot in kch? lols!

Die die also must eat mia Prosperity Beef Burger. Why ah? Cos it's only available once a year, and it's so tasty......... If dun eat, then chicken run liao (chao kai mah) (or should it be cow run instead since this is beef burger?) I'm lovin' it

Botak !!

Few days ago I met a colleague cum friend of mine whom I have known for years (working in the same hospital but in different department). He starts balding in young age - started to lost hair in his 20's - those male-pattern baldness aka androgenetic alopecia. Not alopecia areata nor alopecia totalis though.

Each time I meet him, "Err.. 你越来越少头发了", (which literally means he is balding) will just come out spontaneously from my mouth, like a natural reponse. (All these while, I converse in Chinese with my close friends). Few weeks didn't see him so much difference oredi. Mmm... I know balding is a sensitive issue for some guys. Abuthen, I guess he is used to that liao cos I'm not the only one who says that, and summore this was not the first time I say that to him. Should I refrain from saying that statement in the future? Old habits die hard.. :P

It's time for me to have haircut soon. Might be tomorrow? Might be Wednesday? Might be Friday. Mmmm.. Should I dye my hair at the same setting?

Exercise...

I used to go hiking in Youth Park (up to Station 3), Penang quite frequently in the past, but lately I deferred the hiking coz of.. well, well... blame the rainy season + LAZY mah. Previously I can reach Station 3 ( the circled area with several Malaysia Flags) in the photo below within 20-25 minutes. After defer the hiking activities for quite some time, I went up the hill again using the jungle trail yesterday evening. Wow... I lost my stamina already.. Need to stop few times in between to catch my breath....

But nevertheless I can still reach the destination, within half an hour. I guess I need to go exercise more often liao.

This evening, I went jogging in Botanical Garden. Feel breathless again after jogging one round & I continued with walking the second round. Must do exercise more frequent liao...

Monkeys in Botanical Garden.

Sha La La La

Yesterday night, while listening to my collection of old songs , I came across this fabulous Sha La La La of yesteryears by Wynners (溫拿樂隊). 這是一首改編自美國的鄉村歌曲. Listening to this old song reminds me of the night in Redbox Karaoke together with Cocka, May, Nyonya, Angel and JL.

Sha La La La (Wynners)

There's a girl in my mind and she knows I'm thinking of her
All my way to the day and the night the stars shine above me
She's been gone for some time but I know I truly love her
And I'm singing this song, hoping she'll be back when she hears it

My heart goes shalala lala, shalala in the morning
shalala lala, shalala in the sunshine
shalala lala, shalala in the evening
Shalala lala, shalala lala just for you

If your love's gone away just like mine you'll feel like crying
Sing along maybe once maybe twice let's try it together
Some sweet day no one knows he'll return and you'll be happy
Shout it sweet in a song, listen to your heart it is singin'

Your heart goes shalala lala, shalala in the morning
Shalala lala, shalala in the sunshine
Shalala lala, shalala in the evening
Shalala lala, shalala lala just for you

p/s: While I was halfway bengang coz of some irritating events that occur late afternoon today, I received this lame joke sms from Winn, which arrived just in time. Hahaha, Winn, u might not realised it, but thanks for brighten up my day :D

草原上有二只牛在吃草。
白牛问:你的草是什么口味啊?
黑牛答:
草莓味
白牛赶紧走过去,吃了说:哪有草莓味?
黑牛大声的答:蕃薯, 我是说-
草-没-味

What's yours?

These are some of my favourite phrase which I always used in my casual writing. Piak with sotong, faint kaw kaw, no eye see, *cabut*, twist your head, sikui (= dead ghost in chinese for those who catch no balls), NBTD (= nothing better to do) and not forgetting the fabulous LD. (Those who chatted with me on YM will notice the appearance of this LD on & off. Many have asked me in the past what is LD? Hahaha, LD is just the typo for :D, since L is located next to : on the keyboard. That's how LD originated when I typed too fast, similar as the origin of ti(p)u)

And from what I observed over the past few weeks/months :
*May's tee-hee, fatt hao
*Ben's io ka ch'ng, hiao kao pua si, sikui, CPBSP
*Angel's KKHH & the dying DYK (which has RIP liao?)
*LB's sot sot, bling bling, klang klang & wat else?
*Winn's infamous liuliu, sam pat, melayang-layang & .. napet?
*Will's kin kin siam (wah.. where u want to siam?)
*Carcar's OMG, cheonghei, pangsai/oh see (nyek-nyek, I remember this !!!)
*JL's lame
*Pink Cotton's your head, 'x', PP (= phik phiak)
*Ah Boy's laff die me & woof die me
*Misti's RELAC
*Sengkor's How Crappy

Anything else to add on to the list?

Cheonghei-ness @ One Noodle

After Shalalalala till late midnight early morning, I finally went zzzz at 4:30 am. My Biological Clock woke me up at 9 am the following day. Cannot tidur liao, so I woke up & melayang-layang for a while...

Soon, it was time for lunch. Yeah, this time we had our lunch appointment at 1 pm at One Noodle in SS2. Angel and I secured a seat upstair in one hidden corner. Nyonya arrived next followed by May and subsequently Will came with a big bag. Nope.. He didn't bring Mini out but the camcorder with a short video clip of Mini. JL sms-ed telling Angel he couldn't made it cos he woke up late. (He didn't realise we actually stayed back till so late inside One Noodle). Too bad the melayang-layang Winn couldn't join us cos she sibuk melayang-layang elsewhere.

Without realising, Sotong is expanding the Sotong Kingdom slowly. The sotongness had spread the blur-ness to the Lucky Ducky May, causing her to ter-left her wallet inside the Redbox karaoke yesterday night during the karaoke session. But since she was so lucky ducky, she managed to get it back safe & sound. The last time when Sotong came to town, similar things happened too in KTZ, and not forgetting the heavy downpour. Blame the Sotong :P

Cocka was the next to arrive (we almost habis makan liao by then), and the first joke of the day started when we all heard Will asking Cocka, "Are u Carcar?" WHAT? CARCAR???? Everyone bursted into laughters !!!! Since when the lenglui Carcar becomes a macho guy with moustache ?? Cocka replied with a grin "The last time I checked, it is still there". Hahahhaa... I wonder if Carcar sneezed at that particular moment in Kiasuland? Talking about Cocka & Carcar reminded us of the photo of them taken together inside the Hakka Restaurant last August - the "like father & daughter" photo. Kakkakaka...

Soon, we were the only one left upstairs, and we ordered the second round of drinks. (cos talked too much mah.. really "saliva more than tea" (口水多过茶). We were noisy and loud - the whole upstair was filled with our voices & laughters. The staffs there are very nice cos.. they never shoo us downstair. Later in the evening, Ah May had to made a move cos she had dinner appointment with her family. After a goodbye hug.... aiyh, dunno when we will meet up again.. Might be in 2 years time? Might be sooner? Might be longer? Might be in Oz? might be in KL? might be somewhere else?

Soon, it's time to order the 3rd round of drinks... And dunno visiting the restroom for how many times liao.. We continued talking and yakking, covering everything under the sun - dogs lah, tsunami lah, apartment lah, Klang lah, the recent murder case lah, insurance lah, LRT ride lah, LRT tickets & Touch n Go thingy lah, blog name & profile name lah and even topless calendar lah.. *giggle*

We so cheong hei till..... See this? Geng leh? The thermos was brought out for... continuous servings of hot Chinese tea !! *Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah*

Later in the evening, around 6 pm, the Captain was back from her "time off". She was surprised to find out we were still lurking around in the corner.

Captain : I went back home to rest for few hours and I'm surprised to find out u all were still here. You all are good friends?
Nyonya : If we are not friends, who do u think we are woh?
Captain : like a Family loh. Pointing towards Cocka, He is the daddy and Nyonya as the mummy. (Kakkaa... so inevitably, Angel, Will & I become their their guai-guai, cute & adorable kids?)
Captain : U all must have not seen each other for so long liao, that's why can talk so long?
Nyonya : No lah, we just met up yesterday night and hang out till 3 sumthing in the early morning.
Captain : *amazed*

The papa & mama started teasing each other and showing the captain the censored photos that they captured the night before. What a lovely family scene. We stayed till almost 8 pm (till the cows also came back home liao.... Not only the cow, the rabbit, the mouse, the horse and the cock also come back leh). Mmmm... without realising, we had been talking, laughing, yakking & sitting for almost 7 hours inside the same makan place. This is indeed a record !!! Can we enter the Guinness World Record? So the cheong hei (long winded) & cheong si fatt. The seats must be flaming hot. Not easy to sit at the same seat for so long, u know? Stomach also bloated liao cos laugh too much (hence ate inhaled in endless supply of free air) :P

Looked at the bill !!!! First time I saw such a lengthy bill (for 6 people). Really kia si lang. The total payment of the bill was just 1/5th the amount we paid the night before. Even the parking attendant also cabut back home liao.. So free parking for Cocka. Yeah...

This was not the end of the story yet. We went for dinner in Thong Kee Restaurant (having fish, pork ribs, green vege, claypot vege & bitter gourd soup) & continued our yakking session for one & half hours there till 9:30 pm. Thanks, Cocka for the dinner treat. This was how I spent my Sunday. Another eventful day, right?

A Night to Remember

After a short excursion to Klang, I had a short evening nap (one hour plus). I was lazy to get up subsequently. Remember? It was raining cats & dogs Liucas & Ah Boy out there.. Nice weather to zzzz. So fast it's 6:40 pm liao.. Die die also must wake up, cos..... It's time to attend the Farewell Dinner for Ah May. Ah May will be leaving to Sydney, Oz this coming 18th February 2007.... On the first day of CNY. I gonna miss u leh, Ah May.
Finally we arrived at Deustche Gashauss @ Damansara Heights, with King's wife as the honourable navigator.

The detailed map provided by Winn for the blur sotongs... Notice the unrelated Red Ginger? --> Mahathir's fav assam laksa woh...

Sengkor, Angel, Kenny, Nyonya Pg, Zeroimpact, 9393, JL, King's Wife, Cocka, May, Kat, Chen and Winn creating a chaos inside the restaurant.

Some of the food we sapu. Oh no...Porkie again :D

The confused Sausage which thinks he is a Sotong.... So liu geh?

Halfway, I switched drink (Long Island Iced Tea cocktail) with Winn's mia drink, curi her German Beer (*slurp).

This was the Seafood Pasta that costed the freaking RM 75??? Someone gonna boycott this place liao.

Carrot Cupcakes specially baked by Kat with sweet cream cheese frosting.

Someone really enjoying the cake !!!!!!! And not forgetting a bunch of crazy & weirdo adults posing and camwhoring. Gila session was definitely on the move, shocking the restaurant staffs. And the bills came up to ..... o.O

The night was still young. Next we went to RedBox karaoke. Kenny & 9393 had commitments elsewhere and didn't join the gang.

Leng chai with the devilish handsome smile & the striking little red horns. "Someone" going to kiss him leh this coming Friday :P

Cocka and his sweet rendition of Il Mondo. And the hilarious 烧饼 song (William Hung) really gave us a good laugh." She Bangs" now becomes the edible 烧饼 pulak? Muahahhaa.. 烧饼 烧饼 !! Sengkor, Winn, Zeroimpact, KW and Kat left around 1 sumthing, leaving Cocka, May, Angel, JL, Nyonya & me behind. The night was still young ;)

Mmm.. the mild tasting beer, and I actually felt more awake after drinking it. And not forgetting the late night tiuing sms from Misti all the way from kiasuland aka Singa berpura2 land. The highlight of the night was the Barbie Girl song followed by the Sha La La La (Wynners). Everyone was on the floor except Angel who danced on the seat instead. Nyonya really rocks! There were occasions whereby Cocka was sticked to the wall, just like the Spider Man. JL almost lost his voice towards the end of the karaoke session.

Time really flies... It was almost 3:30 am liao.. and time to bid farewell. Will Nyonya's sha lalala on her way back home? Will her bigboy wait for her at the sofa? By the time we reached home, the clock had already struck 4 am... Time to ZZzzzzzz.....

An eventful day in Klang

After the late breakfast in Ipoh Old town Kopitiam, We (Angel and I) went to Klang to look for the adorable Daschund puppy called Mini Will who "na-will-gate" us around Klang, the BKT town. Soon, it was time for lunch. Will (the one with BKT blood) says beside Bakuteh, there are lotsa other food available in Klang woh.. eg the pork ribs aka pai kuat rice. Forgotten liao what is the name of this place. It is located somewhere in Jalan somewhere nearby somewhere.. So confusing huh?

Our drink for the day - soya bean milk (which comes in a bottle similar to soya sauce bottle?)

The so-called famous meaty pork ribs/pai kuat... Hehehe, the good thing is there is only meat but no kuat bones, and the green leafy vegetable.

Porky Meatballs & another porky product - Pig Stomach soup/猪肚汤. Wah.... haven't drink 猪肚汤 for so long liao.. Reminds me of my mum's cooking. After the makan session, it's time to walk drive around town again !!!

After drove passing by the bumpy road with potholes (which reminds me of the road conditions in Sarawak), finally we reached Tanjung Harapan. (side note: I wonder what can we harap or hope for in this place?) Anyway, Angel threw us a One million dollar question : Is the drain water in the above picture salty? Since it is located next to the sea... Might be Winn can enlighten us with an Winnism answer to the question above.

吹吹风 (= blow wind) moment... Mana tau half way 吹风, it started raining pulak !!! Never mind....

Since cannot 吹风, so we continue makan again. Paying a visit to the famous Klang Chen-dol. Is eating chen-dol equivalent to "食自已"? Nah... I opted for the pulut chendol (never eat chendol with pulut mah). Ada pulut, ada ais, ada chendol, ada kacang, ada santan, ada gula melaka.. After makan, it started raining cats & dogs (= raining Liucat & Ah Boy).

It's time to bid farewell to Will and Klang-Klang town. And this was what happened on our way back home to Puchong....

Winn, the reliable navigator na-winn-gator couldn't join us cos she was busy "stand-by" somewhere :P Pssss.. Winn says the word na-winn-gator is copy-right "kopi-right" woh.. Belanja her minum kopi then can use this word freely liao.. LOL. And I curi use her idea of finger picture too. Since she didn't mention the point-point picture is kopi-right mah. Kakkakaka --> so the kopi-cat :P

To be continued....

KAI Keok post - 无鸡不成宴

KAI (aka ayam) is currently the In-Thing. From the Ipoh ngar choy kai (beansprouts chicken), yim kuk kai (Salt baked chicken), kari kai bun (curry chicken bun) bla bla to Kereta-kereta's Chicken dang post with the wat luet luet, pak suet suet pak cham kai & redang rendang kari kai causing the widespread obsessions with KAI. Btw, KAI here is the edible kai and doesn't equivalent to the inedible COCKA. Hope he won't perasan :P Poor KAT kena the deadly "发鸡瘟" disease aka the spamming illness which is only curable with eating kai keok (鸡脚) aka chicken feet /phoenix claw (凤爪). Hope after she feasts her eyes with the kai keok pictures below, she can be cured completely..

Tungku Kai Keok/ Braised Chicken Feet Mushroom Noodle (冬菇鸡脚麵 )

鸡脚粿汁 (Mixed Koay Chap with chicken feet)

Malay kah?

I have the habit of looking at the patient's name and age in the clinic prior to seeing them. That day, as usual, I take a peep at the name & age in the patient's identification data column and browse through the referral letter for the brief history and the diagnosis... My patient was a teenage girl with ESRF (End Stage Renal Failure) on hemodialysis. The nurse called the girl in. The girl has very dark skin complexion and naturally I started talking to her in Malay language. She was quite quiet and only gave simple answer to my questions.

Towards the end, after I completed my clerking and examination, I looked at the name column again... Fulamak !!! I saw a Chinese name there. I mistakened her as Malay pulak. Might be that's why she is so quiet? :P She indeed doesn't look like Chinese. Well well.. She is dark because of her medical problem. Patients with chronic renal (kidney) failure commonly have hyperpigmentation and sallow skin complexion (dirty brown appearance coz of anaemia and retention of urochrome, the urinary pigment).

Well well.. I was mistaken as Malay too for several occasions.. in KL, in Kuching and even in Penang; Countless episodes. Inside and outside the hospitals. I had encountered several Chinese patients asking me questions in Malay language. Or Chinese salesgirl talking to me in Malay. Grrrrrrr........ Apa lah. Although I'm not fair, with tanned skin but my skin complexion is not that "dark" lah. Definitely not to the level of "hitam manis".. cos I'm not sweet :P

Mmmmm... do I really look like a Malay more than a Chinese? *Faint*

My First Time...

We have so many "First Time" in our lives.. There are "First Time" in everything... Below is a compilation of some of the interesting medical related events that I encountered for the first time in my life.. Surprisingly I can still remember some of the details although that was so many years back. I know I will enjoy reading this post again in the future :) The PRICELESS REAL LIFE experiences !! My Nostalgic Experiences. All these are now history.. HARI ITU DALAM SEJARAH.

1.First time dissecting a corpse/cadaver (real human leh!) : 19+ yr old
I did this on the 5th week of my First Year in Medical Faculty. First time dealing with & touching the real corpses & cadavers !! Don't play-play. Mmmmm...... Surprisingly no thrilled feelings... I was not scared at all. Is this considered as brave? or cold blood? or indifference? or don't care?

Remembering the hatred formalin used to conserve the cadavers to prevent the decaying process - The formalin cause tearing & giddiness to each & everyone of us (poor us) towards the end of the day. There are more juicy details regarding dissection on a earlier post that I wrote way back in 2005. Those who are interested can peep there (including the cadaver pictures).

2.First time conducting delivery : 22+ yr old
This was during my fourth year in Medical Faculty. We need to conduct minimum 10 normal deliveries. My first experience of watching a expecting mother giving birth to a baby is really unforgettable. All the pain, agony, suffering & sacrifices that a mum has to undergo & deal with from the first day of pregnancy till the day when the baby was born. The sacrifices that a mother has to made for her baby.

It was scary the first time I observed the amount of blood loss during delivery. And not forgetting cutting the perineum with the episiotomy scissor during crowning without any analgesia or pain relief. Ouch !! But apparently, the pain of childbirth is much greater then cutting the flesh.. And not forgetting the tearing of the perineum that might occur and the pain that the mother has to endure. There were no epidural for labour pain during those days.

The first delivery that I conducted was a G4P3 Malay lady, and her baby was a baby boy. Forget about the bloody part of conducting delivery.. Dowan u all to throw up :P After sucking and cleaning up the mucous and secretion from the nostrils and oesophagus and clamping of the umbilical cord, the baby was dried and cleaned up and shown to the mother for identification of the baby's sex. Then the baby was placed either inside the incubator (after placing the name tag) or given to the mother for bonding.

After delivery of the baby, that was not the end of the story yet. An IM injection of syntometrine was given to the mother to shorten the 3rd stage and to prevent excessive blood loss and favour the separation of the placenta. Needs to rub the abdomen and massage the uterus, and feel for the fundus of the uterus prior to applying control cord traction or CCT to deliver the placenta. Cord blood was taken for G6PD screening. After delivery of placenta, it was time to clean up the "mess", to evacuate all the blood clots, checking the extend of perineal tear and cleaning up prior to stitching. A great sense of achievement and accomplishment during that moment. Come to think of it, that little baby boy is now 11 years old. :)

3.First time doing Autopsy/Postmortem : 23 yr old
Can't remember what was the first case I performed the real life autopsy liao. This was totally different from dissecting a cadaver cos the body was still flesh, I mean the person had just passed away not long ago. We need to observe 10 autopsies inside the mortuary in GHKL earlier on before performing 3 on our own.

The first time I performed autopsy, I remembered cutting the scalp and opening up the skull...
Removing the rib cages with an electronic saw... Blood started oozing... The good thing was I didn't have to worry about blood loss when I cut the body cos he was dead. (unlike when doing surgery on alive person). Next, Dissecting out the liver, lung, intestine etc etc.... Weighing each organs separately & jot down the weight (just like how the liver was weighed in the wet market) Cutting & slicing the organ into slices to look for any pathology and taking samples for histopathology if indicated. And at the end, we dumped everything (including the brain) inside the abdominal cavity before sewing up the incision with a huge gigantic needle & thread..

4. First time performing surgery (refashioning of finger for crushed injury) : 24+ yr old
This happened during my housemanship time. That night was my second time doing on call duty as the HO on call in Orthopaedic Department. I was called to the casualty by the Casualty MO to perform refashioning of the middle finger for a guy with crushed injury. This was indeed a scary experience cause I never observed how a case of refashioning of crushed finger was done. That was my 5th day working as a doctor in Orthopaedic Department. The MO on call refused to come and just give order via the phone how to perform the surgery when I asked for help. You can imagine how stressful & tensed I was at that moment.. I was sweating when I performed the refashioning. Luckily I didn't tremble :P

Giving ring local anaesthesia to the crushed finger (half of the middle finger was gone). Using rubber band as tourniquet to prevent bleeding. Then clean & sterilize the finger with povidone iodine & isoprophyl alcohol as antiseptic. Nibbing and chipping off the broken bony fragments and smoothen it to the appropriate length.. Cutting off & trimming the excess flesh & skin so that the skin flap is able to cover the refashioned finger, before stitching back the finger stump. Although this was my first time, the end result still looked good.

I prescribed antiobiotics and pain killer for the patient and gave him a date for further follow-up. Other simple surgery that I have performed myself subsequently are such as: tendon repair, wound debridement, I&D, SSG, plating, K-wiring, Caesarean Section, ERPOC for abortion, Tubal ligation (BTL), Appendicectomy, Excision of ganglion, breast lump(fibroadenoma, breast cyst), lipoma, sebaceous cyst, dermoid cyst, Saucerization, Circumcision etc etc.. Those were the days :)

5. First time doing CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) : 24+ yr old
That was during my housemanship time in medical ward. A ESRF patient on Peritoneal Dialysis suddenly collapsed while dialysis in progress. During those days when we were on call in medical wards, we did at least one CPR every night, and at times can be up to 3 CPR per night (the unlucky ones)... This was nothing glamour at all, unlike in tv drama series. There are no heart thumping crescendo music to heighten the tension situation in real life and death emergency situations. No background orchestra music. No back slapping congratulations when able to revive the patient. No one will help to wipe your sweating forehead. No rewards, no compliments and no glory. And such tensed situations arised every now and then. If CPR failed, the next duty was to break the bad news to the family members. Towards the end of the days... a tiring body, an exhausted mind, Sakit tangan, sakit badan....

Ipoh : Kampar Kari Kai Bun

Initially we planned to omit lunch after the heavy breakfast. But since we passed by this famous Kampar Curry Chicken Bun branch in Ipoh on "our way back home"... I meant leaving Ipoh, So.. what to do? Hahhaa, No choice but we had to stopy by and helped ourselves with the famous signature Kampar Curry Chicken Bun dish !! It was 2:40 pm in the late afternoon.

The Ipoh Yau Kee Restaurant (a branch of the main restaurant from Kampar) serving the famous Kampar Curry Chicken Bun & Herbal Chicken Bun.

The huge & gigantic Curry Chicken Bun or Roti Ayam or KariKai Bun - an ingenious creation. The precooked curry chicken was wrapped up in the grease-proof paper and tucked inside a huge loaf of bread dough prior to baking. Take note : NOT to bite the bun. RM 24 for one loaf (it's huge).

Time to savour the fragrant chicken curry with tender pieces of chicken meat and potatoes.

The curry go exceptionally well with the soft & fluffy bun. Divine!! Kick Ass!! I should have tapao the Herbal Chicken Bun back home.. Now I regret :(

Address:
Restoran Roti Ayam Yau Kee Kampar,
119 & 119A Jalan Pasir Putih,
Ipoh, Perak

Ipoh : See-see Look-look Time

Following the heavy breakfast, it's time to stretch a bit & do some exercises walk around Ipoh town..

Old shop houses in Ipoh old town. The thing that caught my attention - how the clothes hung out with the traditional way using bamboo sticks. You won't get to see this in big cities.

Kong Heng Cafe. Just a reminder for myself to visit this cafe in the future if I dropped by in Ipoh. I read somewhere they serve nice dessert custard pudding with caramel.

The energetic grandpa with the chubby grandchild.

Belachan and Burung. What comes to your mind when u see these two pictures? *Evil thought* Fried Belachan Bu..... Nah, erase the thought! The bird is too cute to be eaten. So, just let it be (Let it be, let it be.. let it be..) :P

The Ipoh Railway Station & The Ipoh Majestic Station Hotel with elements of Moorish architecture, built in 1917. The orange school bus buat kacau only.

The magnificent dome - done you think it resemble the shiny botak head? Mmmmmm... This is the so called "Taj Mahal of Ipoh"?

The ancient lift or elevator of yester-year in the Majestic Station Hotel, which is still in good shape and functioning. Take note of the confusing "Car Coming" button. (Lift = Car?)

There is a poster inside the elevator, with a poem as a gentle reminder to handle the elevator with great care :
All dearest boys & girls,
I'm as antique as your grand grand-pa,
I move slow & react slow,
If u push/pull my door when u use me,
Then I will shock there & stop there.
St Michael Institution (SMI). Since this is one of the premier school in Ipoh which is established way back in 1912. Since passing by, no harm stopping by for few minutes to capture few shots.

The green-green tei D.R. Seenivasagam Park. Should I carve my initial on one of the tree trunks? Hahaha, nope... my hands are not so itchy :P
