Birthday Dinner at Oriental Seafood

Having birthday dinner (my hubby's birthday) together with my hubby & my father in law & sister in law in Oriental Seafood in town (Macalister Road). (Not the one in Gurney Drive - the price there is much more expensive than the one in town, that one mainly for tourists :P )

Mmmm... Order many nice dishes today. Food are quite nice & delicious. The price is very "nice" as well :P But never mind lah, birthday once in a year only mah..

Guess what is this? Hahaha... first time I eat this actually.. This is King Crab or Horse Shoe Crab.. It is also known as a "living fossil" cos it has been on earth for millions of years. Heheh.. we are not eating the flesh (well, cos there's no flesh to eat actually..) but eating the eggs !! Not very tasty but it's something special :)

And this is the eggs............
The next interesting dishes is the mantis prawn/shrimp or also known as "lai liu har" in Cantonese. The flesh is very minimal only but it's something interesting as well... The mantis prawn that I eat previously are small one & these mantis prawns are damn huge. Not cheap as well :P Won't try it again lah next time, since no flesh to eat.. Eat the normal shrimp better :D

Black Pepper Crabs. This is one of the popular dishes which we always order when we have dinner in Oriental Seafood. I like the hot & spicy taste... Delicious.
Well, cannot order meat only since it's not healthy.. Must have a "balanced diet". Must order one dish of vegetable as well... This is the stir fried kai lan with garlic. Something simple, in comparison to the other dishes that we ordered.....
Next on the list is steamed fish - Steamed Garoupa Fish with black soya sauce. The fish is very fresh & juicy, quite well prepared as well...
This is the Lala. Nice to eat when served hot.
Last but not least, birthday noodle with shrimps, taugeh, green vegetables & haybee or dried shrimps.... Our carbohydrate source for the night :)
Everyone is happy with a really full stomach after eating all those nice dishes.. :) We sapu the dishes till clean :P Not leaving a single trace of food behind.. Hahhaa...

Hehehe.. Birthday Cake is a must on birthday mah.. And this is the birthday cake :P
The birthday guy cut the birthday cake at home lah... Quite a while after the heavy dinner loh...

Hawks,
horse shoe crab's blood? Is it so ah? I don't think these creatures have blood lah.. :)
If they have, also very very very minimal only.. They hardly have any flesh, except near the tail portion :D
