明星

This is one of the sad song (明星/Star) that I had been listening to today. Although my heart is still aching and in the grieving stage, I would like to thank everyone here for the condolences and hugs. Although my dear friend is no longer with us physically, but her presence will always remains in our hearts. And she still bring hopes to those in need, as she had pledged for organ donations earlier on. She will still continue "living" through others and I hope that those who gets her organs for transplantation later on will be blessed throughout their lives.

Spicy Choc Drink

It's nice to have a mug of hot chocolate during cold weather or rainy seasons. And it's even nicer to have a mug of spicy hot chocolate, to give the extra urmphhh.

Where Am I?

Guess where was I over the last few days?

Yeah, at the Land of Sea Horses (somewhere at the Land of Hornbills). The house of Mi Mi and Ri Ri. Sea horses statues are seen every where but I had yet to see a real sea horses there :)

And I had the opportunity to meet up with Kok, having flat Kolo Mee and boiled sugar cane drinks at one of the stalls inside the old market. Nice meeting you, Kok. Too bad Doreen fly few days earlier back to Kuching liao...

My "Dream" Gadget(s)

Albie wanna know what is/are my dream gadget(s). Mmm.... I would say the next gadget I wanna get is the zoom lens for my DSLR Canon EOS 350D ~ The Sigma 18- 200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC with OS (Optical Stabiliser) lens. Something that I wanna get but haven't do so yet :P

At the moment, I only have 2 lenses ~ The Canon EFS 18-55 mm kit lens and the Tamron AF SP 90mm f/2.8 macro lens. Hence I need a zoom lens to complete the lenses list (temporary). And yeah, photography is definitely an expensive hobby... I will need to get a speedlite also (in the future lah). Cos now pocket dah koyak and berlubang already. :P

Angeles and Fibrate, since I wanna know what is/are your dream gadget(s). Hence, both of you are tagged :D

Fluff Easter Eggs

Guess what were Dobbs and Fibrate (including yenjai and yours truly) busy doing for the last few days? *Ahem* Hunting and Collecting Easter Eggs plus accumulating Egg Hunt Points at Fluff Friends. Hahaha, suddenly I feel so young, like a little kid again ~ hunting and collecting easter eggs. So syiok when seeing an egg hidden behind the fence. :P

And guess what? I found one Lucky Egg today while hunting. So syiok can die. Gembiranya aku :)

My Fluff Book is now over-crowded with Easter Eggs !! *No Eye See* It's Time to Change. The Wind of Change is here... Btw, don't cha think my specky Moo Moo looks cute with the Easter Bunny Ears? :P

And yeah, up to date, Moo Moo has collected 8 priceless Victory Eggs aka Gold Eggs. What's more syiok than seeing those blink blink gold eggs? To all Egg Lovers Egg Hunters, have fun hunting and collecting Easter Eggs + Egg Points.

Peanut

I dunno why Peanut has so many different names ~ Ground Nut, Earth Nut, Goober etc and some even called it Monkey Nut. I know monkey loves peanut, but naming peanut as monkey nut? Huh?

And my latest favourite is the garlic-flavoured peanuts. Err.. No Flying Peanuts nor Yakking Peanut, as they are in the process of becoming peanut butter on vacation. And rest assured, Angeles, you can ditch away your neck turtle blouse. LOL

Leaf Insect

Winn asked me in the previous post (Grass Talk) where is the grass hopper. Mmmm... No grasshopper woh, but I have the photo of this leaf insect :)

Green-green tei. Looks like Grasshopper, but it's not grasshopper... In fact, it has the appearance of a green leave. I'll name it as dunno-what-name Leaf Insect.

Too bad this dunno-what-name leaf insect is not so bright (aka low IQ). It is staying happily on the grey concrete surface (instead on a green leave), exposing itself to predators. Luckily I don't eat insects, else sure habislah. As conclusion, this dunno-what-name leaf insect failed to get The Camouflage Degree. Gagal Exam :P

Grass Talk

One EFND afternoon when I was in Kuching, I took photos of grass in the Land of Hornbills. (On one of the rare occasion whereby it didn't rain. Well, it rained almost daily during my stay in Kuching during the CNY period).

Who cares what's the name.. I only know it's Grass. Let's call it Grass #1

So, the final conclusion is ~ Grass can be Beautiful... as long as they don't grow inside my garden. (macam lah i have a garden in real life) :P What say you? KFC and hopefully nobody here need to eat leaf medley eat grass. LOL

Buah Cinta

Those who frequent Cameron Highlands will be familiar with this fruit, Tamarillo, but known as Buah Cinta or Love Fruit (or Lover's Fruit?) in Malaysia.

I'm still wondering why is it called Buah Cinta? The fruit is kinda sourish with tinge of sweetness. Does that means.. Love is supposed to be Sour? *Ocipala*. LOL

Updates (Guan Eng to be Penang CM - 8th March 2008, 11.59pm):
It is believed that DAP has named party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng as the next Chief Minister of Penang. DAP won all 19 state seats it contested in Penang with PKR winning 6 seats and PAS 2 seats. The opposition has won 27 out of 40 state seats in Penang.

Talking about Human Rights...

I posted on Female Genital Mutilation in 2005 and would like to share it here again after reading some related articles online lately. Many knows and are familiar about male circumcision, but I believe not many have heard about female circumcision, which is also known as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Up to these days, FGM is still practiced in few countries like Africa & Middle East etc.

I had came across a case of Female Genital Mutilation(FGM) for elective Caesarean Section in 2005. That patient is an African lady, from North Africa and the "female circumcision" practised there or FGM is a social custom. Her's is FGM type 3, involving excision of part or all of the external genitalia and stitching/narrowing of the vaginal opening (infibulation), removal of clitoris (clitoridectomy), excision of the labia minora , & cutting of the labia majora which are then stitched together in order to form a cover over the vagina, with a small orifice left (which can only admit in two fingers). (Don't u think this is very inhumane to do such "surgery" on the girls? Sad to know that such event still occur in this modern world).

It was difficult for that African lady to undergo vaginal delivery as there is a high possibility of severe perineal tear. (Well, if she really insisted on going for vaginal delivery, then the attending doctor has to cut off the fused part of the labia for the baby to come out and to restitch it back again after the delivery). She underwent an uneventful Caesarean Section and the baby was delivered safely.

No picture here but if u wanna see how is it like, u can always google on it, and not forgetting many had lost their lives due to FGM complications especially those performed using the traditional unhygienic methods and non sterile instruments in the rural areas (and forget about local anaesthetic nor pain relief during the surgery).

The Cool Cucumber

Recently I fall in love "heart" this simple dish, to the extend that I have it almost daily..

Slices of the crunchy, raw Cucumber..

Dip into the Hot and Spicy AgroMas Soy Sauce or the the called Soy flavoured Hot Sauce.

The taste is Heavenly. The soy sauce is very spicy and I'm lovin' it. To those who love spicy stuff such as kyh, oldman and Mich, do give this AgroMas hot sauce a try, if u haven't do so and I'm sure u will love it :)

Craps :A Cucumber a day supposedly made me "as Cool as a Cucumber". But since I consume it together with the hot sauce, hence... the cooling effect is neutralised by the hot element of the spicy soy sauce. Cool Cucumber+ Hot Soy Sauce = Neutral. Hahaha, another EFND ocipala crap equation. :P
