Horn + Bill = ?

Finally I have stepped my feet once again at the Land of Hornbills or Meow City, after almost half a year since I last balik kampung... unlike that Ehon, although studying in Oz, but he can go fly back home so frequent. I have counted inside the flight just now (better to use my brain cells a bit than purely sitting there day dreaming and fatt ngau dao... )*Ahem* That lucky boy has been flying around and he terbang back home to Sarawak 3x within half a year. Wah...

Tomorrow and Thursday will be busy and hectic days for me, with meeting and discussion till late at night. (Well, the main reason I come back home this time is for work related purposes, hence official visit). Looking forward for the coming weekend ~ this is the time when the short vacation starts ;)

p/s: I will turn on the word verification at the meantime since there are few cilakak %^$#@*& spammers who EFND and kaw kaw cheng. I hate word verification cos damn ma huan wan to type all those weird combination of alphabets, but I have no choice but to turn on it temporary.

If Time Machine is a Reality

Rinnah and Ehon wanna know the age that I wish to go back to.. (If there is a gadget called Time Machine in this world lah ~ which reminds me of Doraemon.. LOL)

Initially I didn't plan to go anywhere using the time machine nor I planned to turn back time. I just wished to stay at where I am now. But I changed my mind after excessive usage of my brain cells, neurons plus the surges of adrenalines with increasing grey/white hair prematurely. Well, after working in the same profession for almost 10 years, I feel kinda tired. If I could turn back time, I would return to the time when I had just finished my STPM exam (19 years old). I will apply for a different course in university ~ hence taking a different pathway in life. I want to do something different.. ;)

OMS

After reading our beloved Winn Winn OMG related post, I'm inspired to write this ocipala OMS post.

Most of the time, we exclaim using the phrase OMG (Oh My God) in English Angmoh language. In Chinese language, we will use 我的天 which has the similar meaning as OMG. Since this is an ocipala post, I will create a new abbrevation ~ OMS (Oh My Sky), the direct translation of 我的天. U can start using OMS from today onwards instead of OMG (Oh My God) :P

I can't remember what is the exam question that came out during my time as it was more than a decade ago. Is it something to do with the name of the facial bones or brain components or the blood vessel?

RPS (剪刀、石头、布)

Don't cha love the evergreen and nostalgic popular Rock-Paper-Scissor hand game (剪刀、石头、布)? Don't tell me you have no idea what is this about and you have never played this simple game during your childhood days. And thanks to FaceBook, RPS is relive once again... Reminiscing the good old times playing the 剪刀、石头、布 game together with my childhood friends..

My constant RPS kaki-s in FB are none other than LB, Angel, May, Cocka and ECL, and at times Butt and Ehon. Up to this minute I have played 2650 games with 872 wins, 847 losses and 931 draws. And out of 2650 games, I had played 1557 games with LB, the Overloaded with RPS "Overlord" RPS King. Kakakkaka... I can't believe it either :P

48 hours later (at 11 pm, 20th October 2007), I had played a total of 3882 games with total points of 3,946 with 1288 wins, 1256 losses and 1338 draws. That means.. I had played a total of (3882-2650)=1,232 RPS over the last 48 hours? o.O I can't believe this...

Raya Goodies

Unlike someone who celebrate "Raya" in Adelaide.. *ahem*, i mean eating rendang, lemang, ketupat, satay etc etc.... I ate Penang Assam Laksa and Char Koay Teow together with Winn & Sengkor instead during Raya celebration. Besides that I too had Raya cookies (at home lah) :P

Oatmeal Cookies. Doesn't look that sinful, right? cos ladened with oatmeal.. kkkkkkk..

Cheese Cookies. Cheese is good. Everything with cheese sounds yummy (might be with exception ~ the blue cheese? ) :P

And not forgetting the ever popular Kuih Bahulu. Soft and spongy on the inside with crispy layer on the outside. Any special dishes or servings you had during Raya? :)

Batu Feringghi Beach

What are more enjoyable than walking bare feet at the Batu Feringghi Beach in the late evening while enjoying the cool breeze? (Ignore the sun burn, cos nothing is 100% perfect :P)

Human will leave behind foot prints...

Dogs will leave behind paw prints...

Sea shells will leave behind... sea shells (what else u expect? Don't expect free pearl lah :P)

Rocks will leave behind.. Neh.. those cute white thingy on the surface ..

Yeah, this is what i mean, whatever it is (coz i dunno the ocipala name).

And this is one of the most syiok-able activities. Mmmm.... Countless ocean waves splashes.. (As long as it's not tsunami) . Yeah, I lup Penang ;)

Balik Kampung

Balik Kampung by late Sudirman is one of the Aidilfiltri song I like. It's an evergreen nostalgic song (in the early 80's) but it still remain popular up to this day. Every year without fail, we can still hear this song being played on air during Raya festival. And somehow over the last few year, everytime this song was played, I will have the flashback of the Blue Hyppo being rejected from boarding the MAS flight to balik kampung (coz no animals allowed to board on the flight). That advertisement really has a great impact. Anyone remember that advertisement? At least I do :)

Today's theme is Smelly.

Presenting the cute looking Black Pomfret, with protruding tongue and tiny spiking teeth (which resembles aliens). Yeah, I sort of "played" with the fish for few seconds before handling and cutting it without mercy. One thing I dislike is the distinctive unbearable fishy smell when clearing the fish gill, stomach and intestines etc. 101% smelly, and it stinks. *Yucks* But the consoling part is.. the black pomfret is extremely yummy when deep fried ;)

ABC Soup

My All Time Favourite Soup - The ABC Soup. (This is not the Alphabet ABC soup by the way). So easy to prepare. Just throw and dump everything inside the pot - the potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, chicken thigh meat, onions and simmer.. (but of course u need to wash and cut/chopped the ingredients first lah). No salt nor MSG added. Semua ori, 100% Leng Tong 靓汤.

Why issit called ABC soup? coz it's easy to prepare just like ABC? What say you? Mmmmm... "Soup" to Ponder :P

I have a Date...

I have a Date.. with the "prince" from Saudi Arabia.. called Buah Kurma. He is very sweet, lengchai and yummy, right? Hahhaha... Yeah, yeah.. Hari Raya Aidilfiltri is just around the corner ;)

LaksaM

Sad to say that.. I have never heard of Laksam (or better known as Laksa-M by yours truly), till I saw it in one of the foodstalls at the Ramadhan Bazaar yesterday evening. Mmmm... suaku on the move again?

Flat rolls of white rice flour noodles (which resembles CCF, LOL) served with the thick, creamy coconut milk and fish gravy; topped with the crunchy bean sprouts, cabbages and green chillies. Mmm... I still prefer Penang Assam Laksa, LOL.

Besides Siam Laksa, Kedah Laksa, Penang Assam Laksa, Sarawak Laksa, Nyonya Laksa, Laksa Lemak bla bla bla, now I have tasted laksam (the Laksa-M). Next, I wanna sabo Katong Laksa ;)

Charging Handphone...

This is how 小人物 (eg yours truly) charges their handphones - placing the mobile phone securely on a flat surface, such as on the table or desk etc.

On the other hand, those with higher ranking such as the "Imperial" family will charge their handphones in a different way.. such as using the unique hanging method! LOL.
