Ipoh : Breakfast

Day Dreamer asked me twice "go Ipoh no drink White Coffee meh?". Surely this is a must. Although I'm not a coffee person, how can I miss out white coffee if I go Ipoh? ;) In fact, I had white coffee 3 times during my stay there.

This is the place where we had our breakfast in Ipoh Old Town. I didn't realise these are two different coffeeshops located next to each other earlier on. Later only I realised - One is Sin Yoon Loong Cafe whilst the other is Sun Yuan Foong Cafe. The names sound so similar, just like unidentical twins :)

Even though this is a working weekday and it was 9:30 am in the morning, the place was still crowded. Can't imagine how would it be on weekends. Manage to get a seat after waiting for few minutes. This is the die-die also must drink Ipoh White Coffee (RM1.20). The aroma... The taste.... Mmmmm...

Minced pork sauce & Mushroom Chee Cheong Fun/豬腸粉 (CCF - but not Congestive Cardiac Failure). Wonder whether is there anyone in history who suffered from CCF after eating the CCF? Nah... :P

Another bowl of Sar Hor Fun/沙河粉 (This is the 3rd time I savour the sar hor fun liao).

And not forgetting to sample few pieces of the sinful Siew Chee Yoke & Char Siew. Eat till so full.. Beh tahan. No choice but to waste some food :P

We walked around Ipoh town for a while after the heavy breakfast. Is that the end of the story? Nope... We came back for another round of Ipoh White Coffee, but in a different shop - Nam Heong Cafe. The Sin Yoon Loong white coffee tasted better.

And not forgetting the smooth Tau Foo Fah/Soybean curd & the fresh Soybean milk that we had (from different shop). We thought we can skipped lunch after such a heavy breakfast, but....

  11. ya ya quite scary the brush. but my dentist assured me the bristles are soft. it was so funny when she showed me the shaft in my face, already with me weak knee-ed on what she might do with my weakening gum. i went "woooahh", and she made me hold a mirror and she went zi-za-zi-za a couple of teeth. blood blood i saw blood!! before that, she already told me it will be like dat! *pengsan kaw kaw*
no wonder walked out lagi knobbly knee-ed. hahahahaa. very funny actually. i head light light until feel like walking back to her clinic and rest. so funny really!

  15. i better not discourage readers about the interdental brush lah. must do dental community service a bit. it's a very good brush, albeit scary looking. it works better than floss. so it takes care of things before nasty things happen to the gums. especially with hard to reach areas where tiny food particles get caught, and flossing is not enough.
    there! community service done!
    still.... eeeek. :)
